Wae Rebo Trekking 4D/3N

Wae Rebo is an Manggaraian Traditional village exactly on south of Central Manggarai, situated in pleasant, isolated mountain scenery. The village offers visitors a unique opportunity to see authentic Manggarai housing and to experience the everyday life of the local community. In the village of Wae Rebo, visitors can see mbaru niang – traditional, circular cone-shaped houses with very unique architecture. Nowadays, it is still a place to hold meetings, rituals and Sunday-morning prayers together.

Day 1: Denpasar – Labuan Bajo – Denge
Morning flight from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo (West Flores), Upon arrival you will meet our guide and transfer to the local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, drive for 5 hours to Denge village. Dinner and overnight at Denge Homestay Pak Belasius.

Day 2: Denge – Wae Rebo Village
After a light breakfast, trekking to Wae Rebo Village, which takes around four hours. The authentic Manggaraian houses are located about 1100m above sea level in the middle of the mountains. There are  seven traditional houses. Built in the same form, six are for the local people and one extra house for the visitors. these house with really high roofs and they are five stories: the top four are mainly used for storage and all  the living areas are on the bottom. Arrive at noon in the village, lunch at the village and in the afternoon keep in contact with the locals and walking around the village. Dinner and stay overnight in a provided house.

Day 3: Wae Rebo – Denge – Dintor – Labuan Bajo
After breakfast, trekking down to Denge Village where lunch will be provided. After lunch, drive to Labuan Bajo. Dinner and stay overnight at Puri Sari Beach Hotel or in similar accommodation.

Day 4: Labuan Bajo – Denpasar
After breakfast take a morning excursion to Batu Cermin (mirror stone cave). Then transfer to airport to catch the flight leaving for Denpasar - Bali.  Or join our Komodo adventure tours.

WHAT TO BRING:?
Dress is casual. Clothing should be light, preferably cotton with at least one long sleeved shirt and pants. Bathing suit, thongs or sandals and Trekking shoes, Bring one light sweater or jacket as it can get cool in the highlands. Also bring sun-screen, insect repellent, sunglasses, sunhat, flash light.
